Launching The Saturday Club Trust

Earlier this week, we celebrated the launch of The Saturday Club Trust, the new charity that will take over the day-to-day running of our national programme from the Sorrell Foundation.

Ed Vaizey MP, Minister for Culture, Communications & the Creative Industries kindly hosted the event in the Houses of Parliament and encouraged his fellow MPs to support their local Saturday Clubs where they are up and running, or to encourage their local colleges, universities and businesses to get involved and help us grow the clubs’ reach.

Coming soon: The Saturday Club Summer Show

In less than a month, our seventh annual Summer Show will open to the public at Somerset House’s prestigious Embankment Galleries, exhibiting work by members from Saturday Clubs all over the country.  All members and their tutors are invited to special private views to see their work on display.

This will be our biggest show yet with contributions from our four pioneering Science&Engineering Saturday Clubs and, for the first time, our pilot Fashion&Business Clubs from University of Brighton and Manchester Metropolitan University.

The show is open from Wednesday 22nd to Sunday 26th June and is free to all.
