Coleg Sir Gâr

The Fashion&Business Saturday Club at Coleg Sir Gâr inspires and provides opportunities for young people from partner schools in Llanelli, South Wales.

Club members will also take part in national events including Masterclasses with leading industry professionals and the Summer Show, where all Club members exhibit their work in a public exhibition – all for free!

In 2019/20, members explored themes of place, identity and self, developed surface pattern and textile techniques, and took a trip to the V&A to see the Mary Quant exhibition.

The London Visit was a highlight of our year. The Barbican fashion exhibition was fantastic and had such a diverse range of displays for Club members to experience.

The opportunity to explore activities in a Saturday Club, a relaxed environment with like-minded peers, helps Club members feel more confident about their ideas and skills.

The Summer Show is a really positive way to end the year and gives Club members a great perspective on the National Saturday Club as a whole.
