UCL East

UCL East Art&Design Saturday Club is offering a unique opportunity to experience 29 weeks of inspiring classes in the art and design subject areas. This is a great start to a creative journey – whether you aspire to illustrate, photograph, direct or design, this Club will expose the vast opportunities this industry offers.

Workshops will include portrait and landscape drawing, photography, and architectural design. Using quality equipment, you’ll be taught by specialist tutors from across the University, including UCL Slade School of Fine Art and the Bartlett School of Architecture.

As well as being able to explore creative skills, this is an opportunity to gain lots of transferable skills, such as problem-solving, time planning, and learning the importance of working in a team. Participants will also be introduced to the many opportunities available across the creative industries as well as learning what it would be like to study creative subjects in sixth form and at university.

As of September 2023, this Club is open to students in Y9, Y10 and Y11 living or going to school in Hackney, Newham, Tower Hamlets or Waltham Forest.

Club members will also take part in national events including Masterclasses with leading industry professionals and the Summer Show, where Saturday Clubs nationwide exhibit their work in a public exhibition – all for free!

Applications for this Club are now closed. You can complete the application form to join the waiting list.
