University of Westminster
The University of Westminster’s Art&Design Club is all about Animation.
Club members will get to make a number of films using various animation techniques ranging from the more traditional to the cutting edge digital realm. This year the programme will cover drawn animation, green screen and after effects, storyboarding and film making with Lego and cut out films.
They will get to use digital DSLR cameras to capture images and film for them to then manipulate and animate as well as using software packages such as Adobe Photoshop and After Effects alongside iStopMotion and iMovie in order to make complete short films. Our Masterclass will be a modelling workshop delivered by Aardman Animation. We will also be seeing feature length animation films at our Regent Street Cinema.
As part of the National Saturday Club programme, the Club will also take part in two National Events: a Masterclass with an industry professional (Aardman Animation); and the Summer Show, where all Club members from around the country exhibit their work at Somerset House, London – all for free.
This club is made possible with funding from the Quintin Hogg Trust.
