The Coleg Sir Gâr Art&Design Club had a joint Masterclass with their Science & Engineering Club which was led by pioneering wheelchair designer David Constantine of Motivation.
David gave a very moving and thought-provoking talk about his accident and the succession of events which led to him setting up Motivation. David spoke in great depth about this experience and how wheelchair and mobility design affected his life, and the want and drive to do this for others.
David set a practical task of reading and choosing 1 of 3 profiles for people from developing countries with various requirements to design a wheelchair for. The Club members’ ideas were all incredibly impressive and articulated thoughtfully and with clarity. It was evident they had listened carefully during David’s talk and fully embraced the acitivity.
