The National Saturday Club’s annual Summer Show presents the exhilarating work of the next generation of creative thinkers and innovators at Somerset House, 8–16 June 2019.
Celebrating the 10th anniversary of the National Saturday Club, the 2019 Summer Show is the culmination of another stimulating year pushing the boundaries of creative education. More than 1,600 young people aged 13-16 have spent the year exploring subjects they love for free in their local universities, colleges and cultural institutions, as part of the National Saturday Club program. The Summer Show is an opportunity to see the work of these passionate young people from all around the country in a prestigious London location.
Seventy-eight Saturday Clubs across four subject areas – Art&Design, Fashion&Business, Science&Engineering and Writing&Talking – will present a curated selection of the year’s accomplishments. This year’s exhibition will also celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the National Saturday Club with an installation presenting a selection of the 8,000 self-portraits created by Club members over the past ten years.
