A vibrant showcase of creative work by the next generation of talent, the National Saturday Club Summer Show takes over the East Wing, Great Arch Hall and the River and Lancaster Rooms at Somerset House with a bold, inspiring exhibition spanning art, design, fashion, media, and more
The Summer Show will present the work of over 2,000 13–16-year-old National Saturday Club members who have been attending the 129 Saturday Clubs at universities, colleges, museums and other cultural institutions across the country, for free.
This year’s exhibition will take over a number of spaces across London’s prestigious Somerset House. Leading visitors on a journey through four zones – Imagine, Empower, Create and Inspire – the Summer Show will showcase the ideas, creativity and innovation of the nation’s next generation.
Each of the eight Saturday Club subjects – Art&Design, Craft&Making, Fashion&Business, Film&Screen, Performance&Theatre, Science&Engineering, Society&Change, and Writing&Talking – are represented in an exhibition designed by Public Art Matters with graphic design by Studio Quercus.
The exhibition is an inspirational showcase of the ideas, creativity, and innovation of the nation’s next generation. Club members achievements are also celebrated at their Graduation Ceremonies, where they will hear from guest speakers.
The National Saturday Club Masterclasses Programme will also be celebrated at the Summer Show. Throughout the year, leading industry professionals and organisations lead special workshops for Saturday Club members.
