The Saturday Club Trust is delighted that Sir Nigel Carrington will be joining the Board of Trustees at a pivotal moment in the growth and development of the National Saturday Club network.
Sir Nigel’s career has spanned the private, public and charitable sectors. Between 2008-2021, Sir Nigel was Vice-Chancellor of University of the Arts London and he is currently Chair of The Henry Moore Foundation.
Sir Nigel said: ‘I am delighted to be joining the Board of the Saturday Club Trust. It is an inspirational charity and plays a crucial and growing role in stimulating young people to explore their creativity and develop new skills. Particularly as we emerge from the pandemic, it has a vital role to play with its partners in giving young people new horizons and aspirations which go far beyond the school curriculum.’
Saturday Club Trust co-founder and Chair of Trustees, Sir John Sorrell said: ‘Sir Nigel’s tremendous expertise across higher education, the creative industries and private and public sectors will be hugely valued as the Trust looks to implement its future plan and strategic development of the network.’
