London Visit 2023: We couldn’t do it without you!

12 December, 2023

On Saturday 2 December, Clubs from across the country travelled to Central Saint Martins for the annual London Visit. In addition to seeing their self-portraits on display Club members attended specially arranged workshops, and tours and of some of the UK’s leading cultural institutions. Find out more about the Club members’ cultural visits here.

On arrival at Central Saint Martins, Club members received goodie bags containing Cass Art sketch books for capturing innovative ideas. Thanks to Cass Art for your generous support!

Club members saw over 800 of their creative self-portraits on display, capturing their diversity, imagination, and unique perspectives. Thank you to Central Saint Martins for the use of your wonderful space. The Club members’ original and experimental works are available to explore online here.

After viewing their work, Club members heard from the National Saturday Club’s Co-Founders and Trustees, Sir John and Lady Frances Sorrell, Katie Greenyer, Creative Director at Pentland Brands, and Casey Bailey, Writer, Performer, and Educator.

“Future creative directors, editors, engineers, activists, and more… you have the power to be whatever you want to be. The National Saturday Club has put you on a new trajectory, one that delivers endless opportunity.”

The London Visit is a key moment at the beginning of the National Saturday Club year when Club members from across the country come together for the first time. This wouldn’t be possible without the support of our cultural partners, the incredible network of Club tutors and the National Saturday Club’s dedicated team of freelancers. Thank you to you all!
