What’s On? London Visit 2024

This weekend, Club members from across the south east of England will gather in the heart of London to take part in the London Visit! Hosted by Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London, this event will kick off with an inspiring welcome session where members will meet incredible speakers, showcase their “Expressions of Self” projects and connect with fellow Club members from across the network through collaborative activities.

Each Club will also embark on tailored cultural visits to world-renowned museums, galleries, and performance spaces, gaining access to places such as Autograph, the British Library, The Courtauld Gallery, Crafts Council, Imperial War Museum, London Zoo, National Portrait Gallery, Roundhouse, the V&A, National Theatre, Hayward Gallery, Tate, White Cube and Whitechapel Gallery. With bespoke workshops, these visits promise a day of inspiration, discovery and creativity.

Autograph

Autograph’s mission is to champion the work of artists who use photography and film to highlight questions of race, representation, human rights and social justice. Through doing so, they invite people to explore the creative and critical power of visual representation in shaping our understanding of ourselves and of others. – Autograph

British Library

The Courtauld Gallery

Home to one of the greatest art collections in the UK, The Courtauld Gallery is located in the magnificent historical setting of Somerset House. The Gallery is particularly known for its Impressionist and Post Impressionist paintings, including Van Gogh, Monet and Renoir. – The Courtauld Gallery

Crafts Council

Imperial War Museum

London Zoo

Roundhouse

The Roundhouse is renowned for its work with young people, and its ethos to
ensure that young people shape decision making processes across the organisation. They also seek feedback and advice from young people who regularly visit the Roundhouse, as well as those that don’t, to ensure that the opportunities provided are accessible, exciting and relevant. – Roundhouse

Victoria and Albert Museum

V&A is thrilled to welcome National Saturday Club groups to its gallery for a hands-on creative Wearable Artwork workshop as well as a visit to the NAOMI: In Fashion exhibition. Inspired by the V&A’s dynamic and diverse fashion collection, and the current NAOMI: In Fashion exhibition, Saturday Club members will explore techniques, materials, key movements, and influential individuals to create a new and unique wearable item. – V&A

Whitechapel Gallery

Whitechapel Gallery is a ground-breaking arts institution located in the heart of London’s East-End – one of the most diverse and creative quarters in the

White Cube

White Cube Bermondsey opened in 2012 and is Europe’s largest commercial
gallery space incorporating more than 5440m² of interior space. The building,
