On Saturday, 30th November, Saturday Clubs from the Midlands and the North of England gathered at Factory International for the Manchester Visit! Along with viewing their “Expressions of Self” portrait work on display, Club members participated in specially arranged workshops and tours of some of Manchester’s most renowned cultural institutions. Highlights below…
1. Club members arrived at Factory International and were given goodie bags with Cass Art sketchbooks. Special thanks to Cass Art!
2. Designed to inspire and empower, nine museums, galleries and performance spaces across Manchester opened their doors to Club members for a variety of specially arranged workshops!
3. The “Expressions of Self” exhibition was presented at Factory International.
4. Inspirational speech on the power youth voices have to bring about change from Zamzam Ibrahim, Climate justice campaigner, UN advisor and co-founder of Students Organising for Sustainability.
5. Live beatbox performance and sound expression engagement workshop led by Mr Shay of Underground Creatives!
