Cernamics Clay Lab

Joining Cernamics Clay Lab Craft&Making Saturday Club will offer you the opportunity to take a deep dive into the science behind pottery and ceramics while learning all aspects of creating a pot from the geology of clay, the history of ceramics to the chemistry behind sustainable glazes. Sessions will be located in Cernamic Studio in the heart of Dalston. The tutors will include practicing ceramicists and scientists from Imperial College London. If you are 13–16-years-olds and keen to explore your interests in both science and art, we would welcome love for you to join this unique Saturday Club.

In 2013-14 I took part in the Art&Design Saturday Club at Anglia Ruskin University. It was an incredibly valuable experience as it proved to be a turning point. I am now in my second year studying Illustration and Animation at ARU. I don’t think I would have had the confidence to apply for an art degree without doing the Saturday Club.
