City of Oxford College

City of Oxford College is part of the award-winning Activate Learning group. Its education programmes are designed with employers to provide practical, career-focused learning. As a result, the college has industry-standard workshops, learning spaces and IT suites for its fashion and business classes, which are available to Saturday Club members too!

In 2019/20 the Saturday Club explored the theme of ‘how the fashion industry works’. In their weekly sessions, Club members were introduced to the process of making a collection, including mood-board development, garment specification, pattern cutting, sewing and taking body measurements.

As part of their Club programme, members also take part in national events including Masterclasses with leading industry professionals and the Summer Show, where all Club members exhibit their work in a public exhibition – all for free!
