Creatives Now’s Theatre and Performance Saturday Club is a free programme for young people interested in acting, performance and creating work for the stage.

Club members will explore acting, improvisation, character development, movement, voice, ensemble work and devising. Working with professional theatre-makers and performers, they will experiment with different ways of creating and presenting theatre, develop original performance material and learn how productions are shaped through rehearsal and collaboration.

Sessions will build confidence, communication, creative thinking and teamwork while introducing members to different roles within theatre and the wider performing arts.

The programme will include opportunities to encounter professional practice, learn about creative career pathways and share work with an audience. No previous acting or performance experience is required.

Club members also take part in national events including Masterclasses with leading industry professionals and the Summer Show, where Saturday Clubs nationwide exhibit their work in a public exhibition – all for free!

Accessibility statement: Creatives Now is committed to making the Saturday Club welcoming and accessible. Our town-centre venue has step-free access, and we will work with Club members and families to understand and accommodate individual access requirements. Sessions use a range of spoken, written, visual and practical approaches, and members can participate in ways that suit their communication needs and confidence.
