Global Academy
Join the Film & Screen Saturday Club at Global Academy!
Get behind the camera, into the edit suite, and onto the set! The Film & Screen Saturday Club at Global Academy offers hands-on experience in creating exciting digital and visual content using our industry-standard studios and equipment.
Whether you’re interested in directing, editing, scriptwriting, or shooting your own short films, this is your chance to learn real production skills in a fun and supportive environment. You’ll explore key media techniques – from storytelling and camera work to lighting and sound – and build your confidence through practical, creative projects.
You’ll be working in the same spaces used by students who have gone on to careers at places like the BBC, Sky, and Global. Who knows – this could be the first step in your own media journey!
No experience needed – just bring your passion and creativity. Spaces are limited, so sign up now to secure your place!
The Film & Screen Saturday Club is open to young people aged 13 to 16 from all backgrounds. We welcome students from any school or educational setting – you don’t need to be a Global Academy student to apply.
We’re especially keen to hear from young people who are underrepresented in the creative industries, including those from diverse ethnic backgrounds, low-income families, or those with additional needs. No prior experience is needed – just curiosity, creativity, and a willingness to learn.
Our aim is to bring together a wide mix of voices and stories. If you’re passionate about media, film, and storytelling – this is for you.
Club members also take part in national events including Masterclasses with leading industry professionals and the Summer Show, where Saturday Clubs nationwide exhibit their work in a public exhibition – all for free!
