Throughout the year at Rotherham College Art&Design Saturday Club learners will be given the opportunity to work with Industry professionals in Art, Design and Photography.
Club members will get a chance to experiment and develop new skills and knowledge in working with craft-making processes, photography equipment and traditional photography processes. This might include activities such as:
– Painting
– Drawing
– Printmaking (lino cutting and/or Styrofoam)
– Screen-printing on a T-shirt
– Collage and mood-boarding
– Stop-motion animation
– Digital photography workshops
– Studio and Location photography
– Photography genres
– Traditional photography and darkroom process
Learning will take place in an FE College environment and allow the learners to gain insight into college life within a creative course. Club members will be able to meet and socialise with other young people who have similar creative interests
Club members will also take part in national events including Masterclasses with leading industry professionals and the Summer Show, where Saturday Clubs nationwide exhibit their work in a public exhibition – all for free!
