St Barbe Museum + Art Gallery

The Craft&Making Saturday Club at St Barbe is a free programme of workshops for young people passionate about making.

We provide a friendly environment for young makers aged 13-16 years old to explore their creativity with hands-on activities whilst developing skills. Workshops will be run by professional tutors and makers, and members will explore local Heritage Crafts across the New Forest, with organised visits to local crafts people and businesses as an insight into employment with craft industries.

We encourage Club members to undertake their Bronze Arts Award with support for the tutors. At the end of the programme,  members will have the opportunity to display their creations at the New Forest Show and in a museum exhibition.

Club members also take part in national events including Masterclasses with leading industry professionals and the Summer Show, where Saturday Clubs nationwide exhibit their work in a public exhibition – all for free!
