At the St Mary’s University Performance&Theatre Saturday Club, our BA Acting students and teachers from ‘Drama St Mary’s’ will help teenagers create their own Youth Theatre.

In the Club, we will use voice, movement and play to develop important skills like Listening, Reacting and Responding. The group will devise short pieces together, which they will later build into a fully devised show, performed to family and friends in July.

We believe everyone can develop these skills and grow in confidence, no matter what acting experience they have had before. Young people in the Club become good friends, who support each other in a creative environment.

Beginners are extremely welcome!

Club members will also have the chance to take part in national events including Masterclasses with leading industry professionals and the Summer Show, where all Club members exhibit their work in a public showcase – all for free!
