UCL East Writing&Talking Saturday Club offers a unique opportunity to experience a year-long programme of inspiring classes in different areas relating writing, talking and communication. Through attending the Club, you will hone your writing and talking skills through a wide range of activities. Delivered by UCL experts and academics and hosted in our new Marshgate building on the Olympic Park, this exciting new Club will give you the chance to try out writing poetry, making zines, and scripting and filming a short documentary. You will explore creative writing and theatrical play, using your imagination to respond to and produce texts. You’ll learn how to think creatively, work with others and express ideas through words, sounds, performance and more.

This opportunity is for young people who live or go to school in Hackney, Newham, Tower Hamlets or Waltham Forest.

Club members will also take part in national events including Masterclasses with leading industry professionals and the Summer Show, where Saturday Clubs nationwide exhibit their work in a public exhibition – all for free!
