UCL East

UCL East Writing&Talking Saturday Club is offering a unique opportunity to experience a year-long programme of inspiring classes in different areas relating writing, talking and communication. This is a great start to a creative journey as a storyteller and communicator in all their forms. This Club will expose the vast opportunities the creative industries offer. You’ll be taught by specialist tutors from across the University.

As well as being able to explore creative skills, this is an opportunity to gain lots of transferable skills, such as problem-solving, time planning, and learning the importance of working in a team. Participants will also be introduced to the many opportunities available across the creative industries as well as learning what it would be like to study creative subjects in sixth form and at university.

As of September 2024, this Club is open to students in Y9, Y10 and Y11, living or going to school in Hackney, Newham, Tower Hamlets or Waltham Forest.

Club members will also take part in national events including Masterclasses with leading industry professionals and the Summer Show, where Saturday Clubs nationwide exhibit their work in a public exhibition – all for free!

You can now register your interest for 2024–2025.
