At the University of Northampton’s Film&Screen Saturday Club, young people will work with award-winning Film Producer and Northampton Film Festival Director Becky Carrier to create a short film alongside local film professionals on industry-standard equipment.

Young people will learn about the film industry, storytelling, filmmaking and career paths through Q&As with those based locally working in the film industry, watching independent and local short films, tutorials and hands-on filmmaking experience. Young people will develop their creativity, confidence and communication skills as well as their filmmaking abilities. They will be helped to identify their strengths and passions, and develop teamwork and project planning skills.

Club members also take part in national events including Masterclasses with leading industry professionals and the Summer Show, where Saturday Clubs nationwide exhibit their work in a public exhibition – all for free!
