Another Way, Exploring climate change

  • National Museums Liverpool
  • University of Chester

The Writing&Talking and Society&Change Saturday Clubs at the University of Chester and National Museums Liverpool had a Masterclass with Another Way, exploring climate change and youth engagement.

The session began with Gemma giving a short presentation about her diverse career and the organisation’s history. Club members then split into groups to discuss different ways to address climate change, debating which methods would have the most impact before returning for a group-wide discussion.

Following an interactive debate where Club members positioned themselves across the room based on their viewpoints on specific questions, the main activity challenged the groups to brainstorm creative ideas for engaging young people with the climate crisis.

The Masterclass concluded with Club members presenting their concepts to the room, which included original ideas for podcasts, TikTok campaigns, and live events, followed by a final discussion and the opportunity to ask further questions.
