Architect Jonathan Hines of Architype began his Masterclass with the Hereford College of Arts Club by explaining that his practice follow the Passivhaus international energy standard approach to sustainable architecture, and then set a brief for Club members.
He worked with them to create models for a building that would benefit the Hereford area, while also considering the possible range of materials. They focused on a familiar site currently under development in Hereford. The results ranged from a hang-out with a grass roof for cows to a tree-house with a butterfly garden.
