Writing&Talking Club members from Cranford Community College created zines in a Masterclass with artist Asma Istwani.  

After looking through examples of zines created by Asma, Club members used collaging to create an image of a face – considering abstract or realistic images and applying layering techniques.  

After familiarising themselves with collaging, Club members were invited to consider which themes they’d like to explore within their zines, before creating and assembling them. Throughout the Masterclass, Asma guided Club members on how to fold their zines and the different ways they might want to approach the design.
