Burberry, textile design

  • London College of Fashion, UAL

Fashion&Business Saturday Club members from London College of Fashion, UAL, took part in a creative mood-boarding Masterclass with the Burberry Textile Design team.

The session began with the Burberry team introducing themselves and explaining the role of a Textile Designer. They shared insights into their day-to-day work and the creative process behind textile design.

Club members were then set a collaborative mood-boarding task. Each group explored a pre-set theme, such as ‘A Night in Theatre’ or ‘Metamorphosis’. They researched their topics using catalogues, magazines, and books, cutting out images that inspired them. Their mood boards featured not only fashion looks but also makeup, colours and accessories.

After completing their boards, each group presented their work and received constructive feedback from peers and the Burberry team. The session then ended with a Q&A, where members learnt more about working at Burberry and the skills needed to enter the industry.
