North West Regional College’s Masterclass was with film-maker Jim Le Fevre, in which they created animations using his “Phonotrope”. This is the technique of creating animations in a ‘live’ environment using the confluence of the frame rate of a live action camera and the revolutions of a constantly rotating disc, usually using a record player.
