Bracknell and Wokingham College Film&Screen Saturday Club were joined by film director Mark Brown for a Masterclass exploring the art of writing and shooting cinematic dialogue.
Mark began by introducing his background as a filmmaker and screenwriter, sharing clips from his previous work and emphasising the importance of strong screenplay in film. He then led a discussion on cinematic dialogue, exploring different styles and how to make on-screen conversation visually engaging and impactful.
Club members were divided into small groups and tasked with writing a short scene featuring up to three characters. They created storyboards to visualise their ideas before heading off to shoot their scenes.
After filming, Club members returned to edit their work, receiving one-on-one feedback from Mark.
