Industrial designer Peter Griffith and design educator Lea Jagendorf provided the University of Huddersfield’s Club with a crash course in product design as a way of exploring solutions for everyday problems.
Starting out by deconstructing the humble toaster, the Club members were asked to think about what they really wanted the product to do and how it should meet their individual needs. They considered questions such as how to warm bread of different shapes and how many people needed toast at any one time.
