This year Sheffield Hallam’s Art&Design Saturday Club took part in the Placemaking Masterclasses with British Land and BDP.
Expertly guided by Alistair Hammond from BDP, they explored how pattern is used as a placemaking technique in the built environment. Starting with a site visit to their local shopping centre, Meadowhall, they worked together to create ingenious interventions that used pattern to make teenagers feel more at welcome in the centre.
