This year Hull College Art&Design Club braved the snow and high winds to create an excellent architectural zine based on St. Stephen’s shopping centre as part of the Placemaking Masterclasses with British Land.
Led by architects Holly Lewis and Hannah Martin from We Made That, the Club decamped to St Stephen’s to learn the principles of placemaking.
After a tour of the centre from British Land the young people used a variety of artistic techniques from etching to photography to observe the way the centre was used. They then pulled all of their observations together to create an inspired multimedia ‘zine’ that provides a cross-section of the centre itself.
