The Yeovil Art Space Art&Design Saturday Club took part in a Masterclass with Regular Practice, exploring typography and graphic design. 

Shawn and Finley from the studio introduced the fundamentals of typography, highlighting its role in visual communication through examples from their own creative practice.

Club members were guided through a series of activities, starting with sketching and designing their own letterforms. They then experimented with cutting shapes and letters to create collages, before developing personalised posters featuring their names. 

While some were familiar with elements of the process, for many this was their first focused exploration of typography. 

By the end of the Masterclass, Club members had created bold and individual outcomes, gaining new skills and insight into graphic design, and expanding their creative approach to text and image.
