We Made That, urban planning
The Liverpool John Moores University Art&Design Club took part in an urban development Masterclass with architecture and urbanism practice We Made That.
We Made That gave the members a short introduction to their practice and the concept of redevelopment before taking the group on a walk down Hope Street, Liverpool. On the walk the young people discussed aspects of the street with the We Made That team, considering key features and unique aspects whilst taking notes and making drawings of elements that most interested them.
After the walk, members returned to the University to collaboratively create a ‘Travel Guide to Liverpool’s Hope Street’. Using techniques of collage and sketching, as well as short notes and comments, by the end of the session the Club has created a personal and visual guide to Hope Street.
