I’d been interested in doing something creative for a while. I was keen on graphic design and photography but I didn’t know much about them, and I’d been told they didn’t lead to many jobs. Then I came across the Art&Design Saturday Club at my local college – it was exactly what I’d been looking for. The fact it was free to attend meant I could apply without worrying about the cost.

Before I joined the Club, I had no idea what the college had to offer. Now I am studying here full time and, for the first time in ages, I am really enjoying my education. I have now become a student assistant so I can continue to be involved.
