Higher Horizons+ in collaboration with Staffordshire University are excited to offer a Science&Engineering Saturday Club. This is a FREE opportunity for young people in year 10 to learn, explore, experiment, examine, interrogate and take risks through science and engineering workshops held at Staffordshire University.
The Saturday Club at Staffordshire University will offer up to 30 weeks of inspiring classes over the academic year. Each week, members will be introduced to a range of different disciplines using specialist facilities. As well as the weekly classes at Staffordshire University, Club members will also take part in national events including Masterclasses with leading industry professionals and the Summer Show, where all Club members exhibit their work in a public exhibition – all for free!
Delivered by specialist tutors with support from current students, pupils are offered exciting workshops in a range of creative disciplines. Sessions are fun and relaxed while also allowing young people to learn about the breadth of Art and Design courses on offer at Higher Education. Sessions allows young people to experience exciting and varied scientific disciplines giving them a platform to ask questions about further education and careers within the science and engineering sector. The Club costs are generously covered by Higher Horizons+ and the only cost to you would be arranging the transport to the club on a Saturday for your child.
It’s shown me so much more than I knew was out there.
As the parent of a daughter, this is a brilliant way to introduce her to STEM subjects and careers in that field
Saturday Club? Well it’s the highlight of the week isn’t it?
