Donate

By making a donation to the National Saturday Club you will be supporting a nationwide creative education programme. Your contribution will enable many more 13–16 year olds to discover their talents and raise their aspirations at their local Saturday Club.

The National Saturday Club gives 13–16 year olds the opportunity to explore creative subjects at their local university, college or cultural institution every Saturday for free. The programme empowers young people from diverse backgrounds across the UK to pursue pathways to further education and rewarding careers.

8,000 young people have taken part in the National Saturday Club over the past 10 years. It is a transformative experience.

If you are interested in becoming a corporate partner or patron of the National Saturday Club please contact:

It’s a very magic moment, I feel, when a young person realises that goals can be achieved, that opportunities can be totally embraces and that access is possible.

Impacts of the programme

Enabling access

Saturday Clubs are always free to attend and the National Saturday Club is committed to providing opportunities for harder-to-reach young people from across the UK. In 2018/19, 63% of Saturday Club members were from widening participation backgrounds.

Offering opportunities

Over the past 10 years, the National Saturday Club has introduced over 8,000 young people to pathways into further and higher education and rewarding careers. Through the Club, members gain insights into the professional world and further study opportunities so that they are more informed about their options.

Supporting well-being

Evidence from tutors and teachers indicate that members frequently display improved communication skills, independent thinking and are more assured of their abilities as a result of the Saturday Club. School teachers say that the programme reinforces student progression and develops their passion for a subject as well as their willingness to experiment.

Discovering hidden talent

With the freedom to explore subjects outside of the school curriculum, alongside professional tutors, Club members are given the opportunity to discover their talents and develop their skills as they experiment with a range of media and techniques.

Our daughter has discovered what she wants to do in future, and it all started with a leaflet she picked up about the National Saturday Club. We’re so proud of her. She is following her dreams.
