Kristina Roszynski and Sahiba Chadha from Cullinan Studio led a Masterclass about urban architecture and sustainable energy for the Art&Design Club members at Nottingham Trent University.

Kristina and Sahiba spoke to the Club about careers in architecture and set them a brief to create ‘mollages’ (model/collages) of design concepts for transferring power across a city in ways that enhance the aesthetics of an urban space.

During the session Kristina mentioned that attending a Saturday Club had inspired her to become an architect herself and talked about how important it is for young people to have a say in the design and development of their own communities. At the end of the Masterclass one Club member commented: “I don’t think I’d ever thought that I would have a say in what’s being built around me, but today has made me realise I actually should have my say”.
