Dazed Media, made up of Nowness, Dazed, AnOther, and Dazed Beauty, lead a Dazed cover shoot Masterclass for Art&Design, Fashion&Business, and Film&Media Club members from Reading College.
To begin the Masterclass, the Dazed team introduced themselves, their roles and their journey into the industry — then came the Masterclass brief! Set by Editor-in-Chief of Dazed, Ib Kamara, Club members were briefed to: explore home and identity in a Dazed cover story photo shoot.
Taking inspiration from Dazed magazines, Club members began developing their cover shoot style before picking garments from a curated fashion rail. Each Club members was challenged to include a specific accessory in their shoot, and for it to be styled coherently with the rest of their look.
In the Media Studio, Club members learned how to photograph and pose models and received advice and guidance from Dazed Fashion Assistants and Stylists. At the end of the Masterclass, the Club members’ outcomes were branded with the Dazed logo and presented to the rest of the group on the big screen.
