Edwin Mingard is a socially-engaged moving image artist. After introducing himself and his work to Film&Media and Art&Design Club members from Banbury and Bicester College, Activate Learning, he shared the Masterclass brief: to explore how visuals can tell a story by creating a short photo series.
Club members were encouraged to consider composition and framing and to examine the relationship between people, objects and landscape. After taking photos across the Banbury Campus, Club members began editing their images before presenting their work. With their images projected onto a screen, each Club member received feedback from Edwin, who reflected on the Club members’ compositional techniques.
