With a theme of identity and belonging, Jemisha Maadhavji led a Masterclass in portraiture for Club members from National Maritime Museum Art&Design Club.

Before their Masterclass, Club members collected a photograph of themselves, a family member, or a friend. Then, during the workshop, Jemisha demonstrated her portraiture process as the Club members followed along to plot features, sketch, and paint their own portraits using the acrylic painting sets they had been sent specially for the Masterclass.

Throughout the session, Jemisha shared tips for improving technique and gave a fascinating insight into colour theory and paint mixing.
