Writing&Talking Saturday Club members from Manchester Metropolitan University explored a variety of creative writing prompts in a ‘Write Your Way’ Masterclass with writer, marketer and producer, Nyasha Daley.
After introductions, Club members began their Masterclass writing journey. This included exercises like ‘Observation’ — where Club members learned about the infinite possibilities in which one object can be described – and ’Listening with Hearts and Minds’, where Club members listened to each other speaking on the topic of identity, and made notes on the emotions and facts they heard. Other activities included ’This is the I that I Am’ and ‘Letter to My Future Self’, both of which prompted Club members to consider themes such as community, individuality and identity.
