In a Masterclass with Dr. Paul Rennie, Art&Design Club members from Middlesex University created posters using graphic design techniques. Considering scale, contrast, colour and detail, Club members were guided by Paul to create A5 posters about ‘nothing or anything at all’.
Talking to Club members about his expertise and experience, members were able to input Paul’s knowledge on typography and flat colour into their designs. Flat colours played a large part in the Club members’ work, where they used bold, uniform colours to create depth. As they created their poster art, members were also encouraged to consider the relationship between fine art and graphic design.
