The University of Salford Film&Screen Saturday Club had a Masterclass with Space Studios, exploring pre-production and set planning.
The session began with a tour of the site, where Club members viewed production offices through the windows and learned about the various departments based at the studios. Following the tour, they received a presentation from Joe about his role and the types of productions made at Space Studios. Lydia then introduced her career journey and her approach to planning shoots.
For the main activity, Club members were given scripts from the television series Waterloo Road and tasked with planning out what props were needed and what the set should look like. They then drafted their own versions of where the scene took place.
The session concluded with Club members presenting their set plans to the rest of the group and taking questions.
