Mood board Masterclass from WGSN for Reading College and City of Oxford College Fashion&Business
Olivia Barnes, Associate Editor at trend-forecasting agency WGSN, visited Reading College to deliver a Masterclass in mood board creation. Olivia introduced Club members from Reading College and City of Oxford College Fashion&Business Clubs to what trend-forecasting is, the different roles in the sector and her personal career pathway.
Throughout the Masterclass the young people had the chance to create their own mood boards, responding to specific trends and design themes that they chose to explore. The session ended with Club members presenting their boards and everyone was very proud of what they’d achieved.
The Masterclass gave the young people an understanding of the forecasting element of the fashion sector and Heidi, one of the Club’s tutors mentioned that ‘the Club members came away from the Masterclass feeling really inspired’.
