Masterclasses are a pivotal moment in the National Saturday Club’s annual programme of events that shine a light on future career pathways and help to nurture young people’s interests, skills and creativity. Each Spring Term, thousands of Club members across the UK spend their Saturday learning from industry professionals and forward-thinking organisations.
This year, we’re delighted to announce our biggest programme to date, with over 80 Masterclasses for more than 110 Saturday Clubs nationwide. From exploring carpentry, industrial design and revolutionary fabric innovations, to meeting BAFTA award-winning directors and pioneering individuals in climate technology. Bespoke workshops have been designed by our incredible network of organisations and individuals to spark Club members’ inspiration.
Meet this year’s Masterclass givers:

The 2024 Masterclass Programme began by making waves in Eastbourne with the innovative Jason Bruges Studio. This saw Club members create dioramas inspired by their coastal environment, with a focus on coding and crafting techniques. The dioramas are now proudly on display at Jason’s shop in Eastbourne.
Since then, Saturday Clubs across the country have welcomed the likes of British Fashion Council and Transport for Greater Manchester, whilst our cultural partners such as the V&A and the Design Museum have opened their doors to Club members from Art&Design and Fashion&Business Saturday Clubs – and that’s just the first two weeks!
The Masterclass experience is often the moment that many Club members realise that their passions and interests have the potential to develop into fulfilling and rewarding careers.
“It was during the Masterclass, when I realised just how achievable and realistic a career in art is. It has always been a big dream of mine since I was a kid. Hearing the Masterclass giver talk about it made me feel like it could really happen“
Club member, MAKE Southwest
“Seeing their creativity come to life and their creative confidence flourish was really invigorating for us and we hope they learnt some great tips and tricks for how they can create stellar brands for themselves – or businesses – in the future“
Malin Persson, Adobe
We continue to be immensely grateful for our industry partners’ commitment to supporting the programme and shaping the next generation’s future. It is wonderful to hear Masterclass givers reflect on their experience of the programme as a time where the Club members gave them a new perspective on their own work. We also extend our gratitude to the National Saturday Club network for making this all possible.
