Time and Tide Museum

Join us at Time and Tide Museum of Great Yarmouth Life on Saturdays, 11am–3pm, for our free Art&Design workshops.

Our workshops are for everyone, regardless of experience, and invite you to experiment and create with freedom! Each session is artist-led, meaning we explore cutting-edge materials and processes with help from the best artists working today. Our projects will explore Great Yarmouth’s heritage through our unique collection of objects and exhibitions.

Our 2022/23 programme will investigate eco-friendly artworks, in partnership with Vattenfall, a sustainable energy company investing in windfarms. We will create self-portraits, learn how to shoot and edit video, enjoy a Club member ‘Take Over’ day as well as a summer exhibition. Each club member will also have the opportunity to complete an Arts Award qualification.

Club members also take part in national events including Masterclasses with leading industry professionals and the Summer Show, where Saturday Clubs nationwide exhibit their work in a public exhibition – all for free!

Club dates:
29 October 2022 - 10 December 2023
Spring term, TBC:
3 June - 8 July

I love the Saturday Club. It has given my daughter so much confidence in herself and she has met new friends.

My daughter has gained so much from attending a Saturday Club, not only for her art but for herself. The opportunities are outstanding and to say I’m quite jealous would be an understatement!

Our first week is still one of my highlights. Nobody knew anyone, and we all came together to explore the museum and respond on a collaborative piece.
