At the Art&Design Club, York College provides a variety of experiences where members can learn new skills such as; printmaking, portraiture, life drawing, sculpting, photography and bookbinding. The college is renowned for its comprehensive range of learning facilities and the Saturday Club provides a unique opportunity for 13-16 year olds to access its resources and build a creative portfolio, without the pressure of exams.

Club members will also take part in national events including Masterclasses with leading industry professionals and the Summer Show, where all Club members exhibit their work in a public exhibition – all for free!

The Art&Design Saturday Club is such great fun, it provokes our creativity and gives us the opportunity to use different mediums we have not used before. Our tutor lets us experiment with whatever technique we choose and it’s great to have that kind of freedom.

The Art&Design Club has given me more confidence to make friends and pursue my interests. I also feel more confident in going to college when school is over
