Artist and image maker, Rob Unett led a Masterclass for the Cornwall College and Royal Cornwall Museum Saturday Clubs focused on large-scale compositions.
Using primarily water-based media of watercolour paint, pencils and ink, Rob guided Club members though an abstract creative process encouraging play and experimentation.
Club members were challenged to combine traditional techniques with new ways of considering form, and consideration for gradient, tone and colour. Working at a large-scale Club members created striking artworks representing the natural world, and the human form.
After the Masterclass one Club member commented that they really enjoyed “learning someone else’s approach to creativity” whilst another said “it pushed me out of my comfort zone and I found something never would have tried enjoyable”.
