Kingston University London

Kingston University Art&Design Saturday Club runs for 15 creative sessions from January to June, guiding students through hands-on projects led by experienced tutors.

Each week, members experiment with new materials, techniques, and ideas from drawing, creative writing, ceramics, and printmaking to sculpture, graphic design, performance, and collage. Workshops also explore big themes such as mental health, climate justice, and equality, showing how art can express identity and inspire change.

The Saturday Club is a fun, welcoming space for self-discovery, where young people can: Experiment with different creative approaches Share ideas in a supportive environment Make friends while exploring new ways of seeing the world Members will also take part in exciting national events, including Masterclasses with industry professionals and the annual Summer Show, where work from Saturday Clubs across the UK is exhibited.

Who can apply? The Club is open to young people in Year 9 and Year 10. Applications aren’t based on ability but on who will benefit most from the opportunity. We may prioritise places for students from underrepresented groups, and travel support is available where needed. Apply here: https://data.heat.ac.uk/survey/J52

The Club has helped me to become more confident and experimental with my art. Before the club, I was using very few materials in very few styles however now I am having fun using a variety of different materials and techniques in my art.
