Kingston University London
Kingston University Science&Engineering Saturday Club focuses on nurturing the Club members’ investigative, observational and practical skills. Introducing them to a huge variety of subject areas such as: microbiology, sports science, healthcare, civil and aeronautical engineering through a series of specialist sessions, led by STEM professionals, academics and technicians.
These sessions invite Club members to have fun and experiment with other like-minded individuals in a modern and unique university space that pushes beyond the conventions of what they’re used to at school. They will gain valuable knowledge by using state of the art equipment alongside our Science&Engineering Student ambassadors, and gain valuable insight into the Higher Education journey and develop future skills needed for a career in STEM. Alongside new techniques and processes, Kingston University Science&Engineering Saturday Club focuses on innovation and the Club Members will be given the opportunity to engage in important topical conversations, including science’s and technology’s place in the future, applications and ethics of artificial intelligence, and sustainability and climate change.
We hope you’ll join us to make friends, enjoy time spent getting messy, questioning the world around you and most importantly having fun!
Club members also take part in national events including Masterclasses with leading industry professionals and the Summer Show, where Saturday Clubs nationwide exhibit their work in a public exhibition – all for free!
Please note, this Club only accepts applications from young people in Year 10.
